2019 sees some landmark anniversaries of some great albums. To celebrate, there are some stunningly packaged vinyl releases.
THE CULT - SONIC TEMPLE
Originally released in 1989, ‘Sonic Temple’ proved to be a pivotal moment for both band and the wider rock scene. ‘Sonic Temple’ had four hit singles; ‘Fire Woman’, ‘Edie (Ciao Baby)’, ‘Sun King’ and ‘Sweet Soul Sister’. The album catapulted The Cult into superstar status and remains their most commercially successful release.
The album is re-released and revamped as a double black vinyl edition with 6 added B-Sides. It has been out of print for over 20 years.
There is also a deluxe boxed set pressed on 3 x coloured vinyl LPs with B-Sides and a bonus "Live at Wembley" BBC Recordings LP, a demo cassette, tour ephemera and more. Limited to only 3000 pieces worldwide
RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS - CALIFORNIATION
Celebrating 20 years, Warner Music are releasing a special edition double Picture Disc of the Rick Rubin produced Chili Peppers' 1999 album 'Californication'.
John Frusciante, who had previously appeared on Mother's Milk and Blood Sugar Sex Magik, returned to replace Dave Navarro as the band's guitarist. With his return the bands sound and style changed.
'Californication; is the Chili Peppers' most commercially successful studio release internationally, with over 15 million copies sold worldwide. The record produced several hits for the band, including "Otherside", "Californication" and the classic "Scar Tissue".
OASIS - DEFINITELY MAYBE
Originally released on August 29th 1994, ‘Definitely Maybe’ was the fastest-ever selling debut album in the UK at the time and marked the point when Oasis became a cultural phenomenon. The album went seven times platinum in the UK while selling over five million copies worldwide. The four singles - ‘Supersonic’, ‘Shakermaker’, ‘Live Forever’ and ‘Cigarettes And Alcohol ‘ are established classics.

INTERPOL - ANTICS
Marking the 15th Anniversary ,Matador Records are issuing the first ever COLOURED VINYL version of Interpol's classic sophomore album
After two years of seemingly endless tours, playing material from ‘Bright Lights’ night after night, they the quartet returned to the studio to record their second album. With ‘Antics’, Interpol delivered a disc even more engaging than its celebrated predecessor, without sacrificing any of the depth that made them such an important band for so many years.
